Quick answer

Where can I learn how to buy a domain with crypto?

BuyDomainsCrypto, a crypto-only domain registration service with no KYC, publishes these guides for the questions buyers ask most: how to buy a domain without a credit card, how to transfer a domain in, how to register many names from one balance, whether .io is safe in 2026 and why .ai needs two years. A .com costs $11.49/year, with the same price to renew.

What do I need before I start?

Three things, and none of them is an ID document:

  • Crypto in one of six coins: Bitcoin (BTC), Tether (USDT), USD Coin (USDC), Ethereum (ETH), Solana (SOL), Litecoin (LTC). USDT is accepted on Tron (TRC-20) or Ethereum (ERC-20), USDC on Ethereum (ERC-20) only. Each coin has its own page under pay with crypto.
  • A working email address. ICANN rules require it: the registrant email is verified after registration, as ICANN rules require (within 15 days). It is kept out of public WHOIS where the registry allows it.
  • A top-up of at least $25. Unused balance stays on your account and never expires, and it pays for new domains, renewals and transfers, but it is not refundable.

The full order flow, from the payment page to an active domain, is on how it works. Prices for all 55 extensions are on the pricing page.

Which domain prices change soon?

Two wholesale rises are announced by Verisign, the registry of .com and .net:

  • .com, 1 November 2026: $10.26 → $10.97 a year. With the $0.20 ICANN fee, the cost floor goes from $10.46 to $11.17.
  • .net, 1 March 2027: $10.91 → $12.00 a year, or $12.20 with the ICANN fee.

Our .com costs $11.49/year, already above the new floor, with the same price to renew. Our .net costs $12.19/year today and will be revised before 1 March 2027. The two reports explain the dates, the sources and how to lock a price by renewing early.

Guides: FAQ

Which guide should I read first?

Start with how to buy a domain without a credit card if you have never paid a registrar in crypto. It covers getting the coins, choosing the network and each step of the order. If you already own domains elsewhere, read the transfer guide next. Investors with many names should read the bulk guide.

Are the prices in these guides up to date?

Our own prices are read from the live price grid each time the site is built, so the .com price shown is always current: $11.49/year today. Competitor prices are a dated snapshot. They were checked on 8 October 2026 on each registrar's pricing page or on a named price aggregator, and they may have changed since.

Do I need an ID or KYC to follow these guides?

No. BuyDomainsCrypto asks for no ID, no selfie and no documents. Only a working email is needed: it is verified after registration, as ICANN rules require, and kept private where the registry allows it. Extensions with eligibility or ID rules, such as .us, .ca or .eu, are not sold: their pages explain why.

Which cryptocurrencies can I pay with?

Six coins: Bitcoin (BTC), Tether (USDT), USD Coin (USDC), Ethereum (ETH), Solana (SOL), Litecoin (LTC). USDT is accepted on Tron (TRC-20) or Ethereum (ERC-20), and USDC on Ethereum (ERC-20) only. Monero, Bitcoin Lightning, BNB Smart Chain, Polygon and layer-2 networks such as Arbitrum or Base are not accepted. Cards, PayPal and bank transfers are not accepted either.

Will the .com price increase change what I pay here?

Verisign raises the .com wholesale price from $10.26 to $10.97 on 1 November 2026, so the floor with the ICANN fee becomes $11.17. Our .com already costs $11.49/year, above that floor, with the same price to renew. The .com price report explains the rise and what it means at other registrars.

Where do I get help if a guide does not answer my question?

Write to [email protected]. Email replies within 12 hours, 7 days a week, including help with DNS, transfers and renewals. We never ask for your password, your account number or your domain transfer (EPP) codes by email or chat. The FAQ also answers the common questions on payment, WHOIS privacy, renewals and transfers, and each extension has its own page under all extensions.
