Choosing a registrar that accepts crypto
What is the best domain registrar that accepts crypto?
It depends on the coin you hold. BuyDomainsCrypto accepts 6 coins, names the USDT networks (Tron TRC-20 and Ethereum ERC-20), asks for no ID and sells .com at $11.49/year, same price to renew. As of 8 October 2026, Namecheap took Bitcoin as a top-up, Porkbun USDC, and Dynadot BTC, USDT and USDC. Our dated ranking: best registrars that accept crypto.
What is the cheapest .com I can pay for in crypto?
As of 8 October 2026, per their pricing pages, Dynadot listed .com at $10.88 and Porkbun at $11.08, both for the first year and renewals. BuyDomainsCrypto charges $11.49/year and is the one that names USDT on Tron (TRC-20). From 1 November 2026, the wholesale floor is $11.17 for every registrar. Full comparison: crypto domain price index.
Is there a Cloudflare Registrar alternative that accepts crypto?
Yes. As of 8 October 2026, Cloudflare Registrar documented no crypto payment. It sells at cost: $10.46 for a .com today. BuyDomainsCrypto sells close to that floor, $11.49/year, and accepts BTC, USDT, USDC, ETH, SOL, LTC with no KYC. You can also move a domain from Cloudflare with its auth code. See Cloudflare Registrar alternative.
Is there a Namecheap alternative that accepts USDT?
Yes. As of 8 October 2026, Namecheap accepted Bitcoin as an account top-up through BTCPay or BitPay, and named no USDT network. Its .com was $6.99 the first year with a new-customer promo code and $14.98 to renew. BuyDomainsCrypto takes USDT on TRC-20 or ERC-20 and sells .com at $11.49/year, same price to renew. See Namecheap alternative.
Porkbun, Namecheap or Dynadot: which is best for paying with crypto?
Each takes different coins. As of 8 October 2026, per their own pages, Porkbun listed USDC through Coinbase Business. Namecheap took Bitcoin as a top-up. Dynadot listed BTC, BitPay coins, USDC and USDT, without naming the USDT network. Their identity rules differ too. Every detail, dated and sourced: crypto registrar matrix 2026.
Which registrar is best for a Web3 or crypto startup?
One that sells the tech extensions and takes the coins your project holds. BuyDomainsCrypto sells .io at $32.99 the first year, .xyz at $11.49 and .ai at $81.99/year (2-year minimum). .app and .dev start at $8.49 and $8.49. All are paid in crypto with no KYC. See domains for Web3 startups.
Paying with crypto
How do I buy a domain with Bitcoin?
Search the name, add it to the cart, then top up your balance in BTC (minimum $25). Send the exact amount shown to the Bitcoin address on the payment page, on-chain. The top-up is credited after 2 confirmations, usually about 20 minutes, and the domain is then registered from your balance. See pay with Bitcoin.
Which registrar lets me pay for a .com with USDT?
BuyDomainsCrypto accepts USDT on Tron (TRC-20) or Ethereum (ERC-20) for a .com at $11.49/year, with no KYC. USDT is a dollar stablecoin, so you send the dollar amount, to the last decimal. As of 8 October 2026, Dynadot, NameSilo and NiceNIC also listed USDT, but none of them named the network on its pages.
Is there a domain registrar that accepts USDT TRC-20?
Yes: BuyDomainsCrypto accepts USDT on Tron (TRC-20) and says so. The top-up is credited after 20 confirmations, usually about a minute. In our check of 15 registrars on 8 October 2026, none of those that list USDT named the network. Pick Tron (TRC-20) both on the payment page and in your wallet. See pay with USDT TRC-20.
Can I buy a domain with USDC?
Yes, USDC on Ethereum (ERC-20), credited after 12 confirmations. USDC on Solana, Base, Polygon or any other network is not accepted. Send the dollar amount shown, to the last decimal, and keep a little ETH in the wallet for gas. A .com costs $11.49/year. See pay with USDC.
Can I buy a domain with Ethereum (ETH)?
Yes, ETH on the Ethereum mainnet. The payment page converts the dollar price into ETH and locks the rate for 30 minutes. The top-up is credited after 12 confirmations, usually about 5 minutes. ETH sent on Arbitrum, Optimism, Base or another layer-2 is not accepted. See pay with Ethereum.
Which domain registrar accepts Solana (SOL)?
BuyDomainsCrypto accepts native SOL on the Solana network, credited after 1 confirmation, usually about a minute. In our check of 15 registrars on 8 October 2026, we found none that names SOL on its own payment pages. SPL tokens, including USDC on Solana, are not accepted. See pay with Solana.
Can I buy a domain with Litecoin?
Yes, LTC on the Litecoin network, credited after 6 confirmations. Litecoin blocks come about every 2.5 minutes, so this usually takes about a quarter of an hour. Fees are low, which makes LTC a good alternative to Bitcoin for a small top-up. See pay with Litecoin.
Do you accept Bitcoin Lightning?
No. BuyDomainsCrypto accepts on-chain Bitcoin only, credited after 2 confirmations. A Lightning invoice cannot be paid on the payment page. For a fast payment with a low fee, use USDT on Tron (TRC-20) or SOL, both usually credited in about a minute. Monero, BNB Chain, Polygon and layer-2 networks are not accepted either.
USDT TRC-20 or ERC-20: which has lower fees?
For a small amount, TRC-20 usually costs less. A TRC-20 transfer uses Tron energy and bandwidth, paid in TRX, so keep some TRX in a self-custody wallet. An ERC-20 transfer pays Ethereum gas in ETH, which changes with network load. The domain price is the same on both. Compare every network on pay with crypto.
Can I pay from Binance or another exchange?
Yes, with an on-chain withdrawal to the address on the payment page, on the exact network. Any wallet or exchange that supports that network works. Choose Tron (TRC-20) or Ethereum (ERC-20) for USDT, never BNB Chain (BEP-20). Binance Pay and other internal exchange transfers are not accepted. Check that the exchange does not deduct its fee from the amount.
No card, no KYC
How do I buy a domain without a credit card?
Pay in crypto. At BuyDomainsCrypto, you top up a balance in BTC, USDT, USDC, ETH, SOL, LTC (minimum $25), then register, renew or transfer domains from it. No card, no PayPal, no bank transfer and no ID are needed. A .com costs $11.49/year. Step by step: buy a domain without a credit card.
My card was declined when buying a domain. Can I pay with crypto?
Yes. A crypto payment does not go through the card network, so a declined card does not matter. Buy USDT or another accepted coin on an exchange you can use, withdraw it on a supported network, and top up from $25. There is no card check and no KYC. The domain is registered once the payment confirms.
Does BuyDomainsCrypto require ID verification?
No. BuyDomainsCrypto never asks for a passport, an ID card, a selfie, a phone check or documents, at any amount. One check remains: the registrant email is verified after registration, as ICANN rules require (within 15 days). The email stays out of public WHOIS where the registry allows privacy. Read buy a domain without KYC.
Which domain registrars require ID verification?
As of 8 October 2026, Porkbun asked a subset of new accounts for a photo ID through Veriff, per its knowledge base. Namecheap's terms allowed an ID and selfie check in disputes or abuse cases. Some registries check identity themselves: .dk, .cn, .ru and .in. BuyDomainsCrypto does not sell those four extensions and never asks for ID.
Do I need an email address to buy a domain?
Yes. Every registrar that follows ICANN rules must verify the registrant email, so a domain with no working email is not possible on a gTLD. At BuyDomainsCrypto, we collect one email per domain, nothing else. It is verified within 15 days of registration and kept out of public lookups where the registry allows privacy.
Prices and extensions
How much does a .com cost in 2026 after the Verisign increase?
Verisign raises the .com wholesale fee from $10.26 to $10.97 on 1 November 2026. With the ICANN fee of $0.20, every registrar pays at least $11.17 from that date. BuyDomainsCrypto sells .com at $11.49/year, the same to renew, already above the new floor. Background: .com price increase, November 2026.
Can I register a .io domain with crypto, and what does it cost?
Yes. A .io costs $32.99 the first year and $50.49 to renew at BuyDomainsCrypto, paid in crypto with no KYC. The public floor is $32.00 and $50.00, per Cloudflare's at-cost prices. As of 8 October 2026, per their pricing pages, Porkbun listed .io at $28.12 then $51.80, and Dynadot at $28.89 then $53.50. See .io domains.
Is .io safe to buy in 2026?
.io works normally in 2026. Its long-term status is tied to the Chagos Islands: the UK–Mauritius treaty on their sovereignty was frozen in 2026, per DomainIncite. Nothing has changed for .io holders so far. Read is .io safe in 2026? before you build a brand on it.
Where can I register a .ai domain with crypto?
At BuyDomainsCrypto, a .ai costs $81.99/year, sold for 2 years minimum, paid in crypto with no KYC. As of 8 October 2026, per their pricing pages, Porkbun (USDC) listed .ai at $82.70 a year and Dynadot at $85.60. Cloudflare's at-cost price was $80.00, with no crypto payment. See .ai domains.
Why does a .ai domain require a 2-year minimum?
Because the .ai registry, run for the Government of Anguilla, sets a minimum term of 2 years for registrations and renewals. Every registrar must follow it. At BuyDomainsCrypto, the price is $81.99/year, so a new .ai is paid for 2 years at once. Background: why .ai has a 2-year minimum.
Can I buy a .xyz, .app, .dev or .co domain with crypto?
Yes, all four. Prices: .xyz $11.49 with the same renewal, .app $8.49 then $14.49, .dev $8.49 then $12.49, .co $30.69 with the same renewal. .app and .dev only work over HTTPS in browsers. .co can be registered for 5 years at most. All are paid in crypto, with no KYC.
What is the cheapest domain renewal I can pay in crypto?
Compare the renewal column, not the first year. At BuyDomainsCrypto, a .com renews at $11.49, the same as the first year. So do .xyz and .link, at $11.49 and $11.49. The pricing page lists the renewal price of all 55 extensions.
Transfers, renewals and bulk orders
Can I transfer my domain to a registrar that accepts crypto?
Yes. Unlock the domain at your current registrar, get its auth (EPP) code and start the transfer in the BuyDomainsCrypto client area. A .com transfer costs $11.49, paid in crypto, and adds one year to the expiry date. A gTLD usually cannot move within 60 days of its registration or last transfer. Guide: transfer a domain and pay in crypto.
Can I auto-renew domains from a crypto balance?
Yes. BuyDomainsCrypto offers automatic renewal from your balance, switched on or off for each domain. Keep enough balance to cover the renewal before the expiry date: a .com renews at $11.49. There is no card on file, so nothing is charged that you did not top up yourself. Unused balance stays on your account and never expires, and it pays for new domains, renewals and transfers, but it is not refundable.
Where can I bulk-register domains and pay with USDT?
At BuyDomainsCrypto, add every name to the cart and pay the total from one balance, topped up in USDT on Tron (TRC-20) or Ethereum (ERC-20). One top-up covers registrations, renewals and transfers. Each domain then has its own auto-renew switch. Tips for domain investors: bulk domain registration with crypto.
Do you offer a reseller API that accepts crypto deposits?
No. BuyDomainsCrypto does not offer a reseller program or a domain API at the moment. Everything happens in the client area: search, cart, top-up, DNS, renewals and transfers. For many domains, the cart and one prepaid balance cover most needs. Write to [email protected] if an API matters to you.
Can I get email hosting with my domain?
No. BuyDomainsCrypto sells domain names, with free DNS, but no email or web hosting. Use MX and TXT records to connect the email provider of your choice. The DNS panel supports A, AAAA, CNAME, MX, TXT and CAA records, or your own nameservers (2 to 13).
Safety, privacy and refunds
Is it safe to buy domains with crypto?
Yes, if you send the right coin on the right network. Every domain is registered through an ICANN-accredited registrar and follows ICANN rules, whatever the payment method. You can move it to another registrar with its transfer code, which is free, requested from the client area. Crypto payments cannot be reversed, so check the network and the exact amount before you send.
Can I get a refund?
Top-ups are not paid back in crypto. Unused balance stays on your account and never expires, and it pays for new domains, renewals and transfers, but it is not refundable. One case protects you: if a domain cannot be registered (taken in the meantime, registry refusal), the full amount goes back to your balance. Top up only what you plan to spend on domains, renewals and transfers. The rules are in our refunds and balance policy.
Do you offer free WHOIS privacy?
Yes, free on every extension we sell. Extensions whose registry forbids privacy or publishes holder data, such as .us and .es, are not sold. Your registrant data only goes out on a Panamanian court order, except urgent requests that ICANN rules require registrars to answer. Details: WHOIS privacy.
Who operates BuyDomainsCrypto?
BuyDomainsCrypto is a domain registration service operated by DomaineGoat LLC. Every domain is registered through an ICANN-accredited registrar and follows ICANN rules. Support: Email replies within 12 hours, 7 days a week, including help with DNS, transfers and renewals, at [email protected]. Abuse reports go to [email protected]. Support is by email only: there is no phone line and no Telegram. More on the about page.
What happens if a domain is used for phishing or malware?
It is suspended. Phishing, malware, botnets and fraud that takes money from victims are strict exceptions: BuyDomainsCrypto acts within 24 hours of a well-documented report on a well-documented report, without waiting for a court. Child sexual abuse material leads to suspension immediately, with a report to the competent hotline or authority. Report abuse to [email protected] or on the abuse page, with the domain name, the URLs and the evidence.
Will BuyDomainsCrypto suspend my domain because of a complaint?
Not on a complaint alone. A complaint about copyright, defamation, politics, or one sent by a competitor, needs a decision from a Panamanian court; foreign judgments must first be recognised in Panama. The strict exceptions are phishing, malware, botnets, child sexual abuse material, and fraud that takes money from victims (fake shops, investment and crypto scams, wallet drainers, impersonation of a bank or brand). Trademark disputes follow the UDRP. Details on the abuse page.
Who can get my registrant data from BuyDomainsCrypto?
Only a court, through a Panamanian court order, except urgent requests that ICANN rules require registrars to answer (imminent threat to life, serious bodily injury, critical infrastructure, child exploitation). We do not hand registrant data to a foreign lawyer, a private company or a foreign government without Panamanian legal process. In a UDRP case, the registrant details are confirmed to the dispute provider, as ICANN requires. Registries keep their own record under their own rules. Details: privacy policy.
Can my domain be registered in your name instead of mine?
Yes, with the premium option Registered in our name, at +$90 a year per domain on top of the extension price. DomaineGoat LLC becomes the registrant of record, so the registry and WHOIS show DomaineGoat LLC, never you. You stay the beneficial owner and can take the domain back in your name any time, free. How it works.
Does Registered in our name change your abuse or data policy?
No. It gives you anonymity towards the registry, not immunity. The policy is the same for every domain: no takedown on a complaint alone, data only on a Panamanian court order except urgent ICANN requests, and suspension for phishing, malware, botnets, child sexual abuse material and fraud against victims. A UDRP complaint is made against DomaineGoat LLC; we tell you so you can defend.
