What is proxy domain registration?

Proxy domain registration means the registrar's company is the registrant of record, and you use the domain as its beneficial owner. It is the model Njalla made known. At BuyDomainsCrypto, the option is called Registered in our name.

With a standard registration, you are the registrant: the registry keeps a registrant record for you, and WHOIS privacy hides it from the public. With Registered in our name, the registry receives DomaineGoat LLC's details instead. Nothing about you is sent to the registry, so the domain is not tied to you anywhere outside our own records.

We still keep only one email per domain, verified as ICANN requires and never published. It is how we reach you, the beneficial owner. One email, nothing else stays true.

What do I keep as the beneficial owner?

Everything that makes the domain yours. Our Terms of Service contain a written commitment:

• Full control of the domain: DNS records, nameservers, renewals and redirections, from the client area.
• The transfer (EPP) code, free, at any time, to move the domain to another registrar.
• The domain back in your own name on simple request, free of charge. The domain then becomes a standard registration, with free WHOIS privacy, and the yearly +$90 stops. For the 12 extensions sold registered in our name only (.de, .uk, .nl, .cc, .to, .ch, .pl, .be, .at, .cz, .nz, .fi), holding the domain in your own name means moving it, with its free transfer code, to a registrar that collects the details the registry requires.

You stay the beneficial owner, and you can take the domain back in your name any time, free.

What does Registered in our name not change?

It gives you anonymity towards the registry, not immunity. Our policy is the same for every domain, registered in your name or in ours:

• No takedown on a complaint alone. Copyright, defamation, political or competitor complaints need a decision from a Panamanian court (foreign judgments must first be recognised in Panama).
• Data only on a Panamanian court order, except urgent requests that ICANN rules require registrars to answer (imminent threat to life, serious bodily injury, critical infrastructure, child exploitation).
• Strict exceptions: phishing, malware, botnets, child sexual abuse material and fraud that takes money from victims lead to suspension.

UDRP. A trademark complaint is made against the registrant of record, so against DomaineGoat LLC. We tell you, the beneficial owner, so that you can defend the domain, and the panel's decision is applied.

How much does Registered in our name cost?

+$90 a year per domain, on top of the price of the extension, every year the option is on. You pay it from your crypto balance, like any registration or renewal. Examples for the first year:

• .com: $11.49/year + $90 for the option.
• .io: $32.99/year + $90 for the option.
• .ai: $81.99/year (sold 2 years at a time) + $90 a year for the option.
