Quick answer

How do I buy a domain without a credit card?

To buy a domain without a credit card, pay in crypto. BuyDomainsCrypto takes only crypto (BTC, USDT, USDC, ETH, SOL, LTC) and asks for no KYC: no ID, only a verified email, kept private. Top up a balance from $25, then register any of 55 extensions; a .com costs $11.49/year, the same price to renew. Cards, PayPal and bank transfers are never involved.

Why is my card declined when I buy a domain?

Usually because your bank blocks the payment, not because the registrar refuses you. Most registrars are foreign merchants for their customers, and banks treat such payments with extra caution.

Common reasons:

  • International payments switched off. Some banks block online or foreign card payments by default.
  • Foreign-currency limits. Domain prices are usually in US dollars, and some banks cap or refuse spending in a foreign currency.
  • Fraud filters. A first payment to a new foreign merchant can trigger an automatic block.
  • Local-only cards. Some debit and prepaid cards only work with merchants in the same country.

Cards issued in countries such as Nigeria, India, Pakistan, Turkey or Argentina are often declined by foreign merchants for these reasons. A crypto payment does not go through a card network, so none of these blocks apply.

What can I pay with instead of a credit card?

At BuyDomainsCrypto, crypto is the only way to pay: Bitcoin (BTC), Tether (USDT), USD Coin (USDC), Ethereum (ETH), Solana (SOL), Litecoin (LTC). You top up a balance once, then pay registrations, renewals and transfers from it.

Not accepted: cards, PayPal, bank transfers, Monero, Bitcoin Lightning, BNB Smart Chain (BEP-20), Polygon, and layer-2 networks such as Arbitrum or Base. Each accepted coin has its own page with its network, confirmations and fee notes: see pay with crypto.

Other registrars also take crypto, with different coins, payment processors and ID rules. Our comparison of registrars that accept crypto lists them, checked on 8 October 2026.

How do I get crypto if I have never bought any?

Buy it on an exchange or from another person on a P2P market, then withdraw it to the payment address on the exact network.

  • Exchange. Open an account on a crypto exchange that serves your country, deposit local money and buy USDT, USDC or another accepted coin. Exchanges usually ask for ID: that check is between you and the exchange, not us.
  • P2P market. Many exchanges run P2P markets where you buy USDT from another user and pay by local bank transfer or mobile money. Use the platform's escrow and check the seller's record.
  • Withdraw on the right network. When you withdraw, choose the network shown on our payment page. For USDT, pick Tron (TRC-20) or Ethereum (ERC-20) to match it.

For most buyers, USDT on Tron (TRC-20) is the simple choice: it keeps the dollar value and its network fees are usually low. The exchange shows its withdrawal fee before you confirm. Details on the USDT TRC-20 page.

Which coin and network should I use?

Pick the coin you already hold, or USDT TRC-20 if you are buying crypto just for this.

CoinNetworkConfirmationsChoose it when
USDTTron (TRC-20)20You hold dollars on an exchange; network fees are usually low
USDTEthereum (ERC-20)12Your USDT is on Ethereum; the fee follows Ethereum gas prices
USDCEthereum (ERC-20) only12You hold USDC on Ethereum mainnet
BitcoinBitcoin, on-chain (no Lightning)2You hold BTC; the fee depends on network load
EtherEthereum mainnet12You hold ETH on mainnet, not on a layer 2
SolanaSolana1You hold SOL
LitecoinLitecoin6You hold LTC

Send only on the network shown on the payment page. A payment sent on another network does not reach your top-up and may not be recoverable.

How to buy a domain with crypto, step by step

  1. Search the name

Type the name in the domain search. Most extensions show live availability; a few, such as .io, .co and .me, are confirmed when you order.

  2. Add it to the cart

Choose the number of years and WHOIS privacy where the registry allows it. Add other names if you need them: one payment covers the whole cart.

  3. Top up in crypto

Choose a coin and its network, for at least $25. The exchange rate is locked for 30 minutes.

  4. Send the exact amount

Send the amount shown to the address on the payment page, on the same network. If you withdraw from an exchange, add its fee so the full amount arrives.

  5. Wait for the confirmations

The order moves from Awaiting payment to Verifying while the payment is checked on the blockchain, then to Processing for the registration.

  6. Use your domain

The domain becomes Active, usually within minutes of the top-up being credited; a few extensions take a few hours. Failed order: if a domain cannot be registered (taken in the meantime, registry refusal), the full amount goes back to your balance.

  7. Confirm your email

Check your inbox: the registrant email is verified after registration, as ICANN rules require (within 15 days). Without a verified email, a domain can be suspended.

What does a domain cost without a card?

Prices per year in US dollars, paid from your crypto balance. The same grid applies to every coin.

What does it cost in total?

The domain price, plus the network or withdrawal fee of your coin. There is no card fee and no currency conversion by a bank.

  • Domain: a .com is $11.49 for the first year and $11.49 for each renewal. All 55 extensions are on the pricing page.
  • Top-up: at least $25. What the order does not use stays on your balance for renewals and new domains.
  • Network fee: paid by the sender to the blockchain, or charged by the exchange as a withdrawal fee.

Unused balance stays on your account and never expires, and it pays for new domains, renewals and transfers, but it is not refundable. Top up only what you plan to spend on domains; see refunds and balance.

Is it safe to pay for a domain in crypto?

Yes, if you send the exact amount on the right network. BuyDomainsCrypto is a domain registration service operated by DomaineGoat LLC. Every domain is registered through an ICANN-accredited registrar and follows ICANN rules.

  • No card data to leak. You never type card details on our site.
  • No ID to store. No KYC — only a verified email, kept out of public WHOIS where the registry allows it. See no-KYC domains.
  • A clear failure rule: if a domain cannot be registered (taken in the meantime, registry refusal), the full amount goes back to your balance.
  • A real abuse policy. Phishing, malware, botnets, child sexual abuse material and fraud that takes money from victims lead to suspension; see abuse.

A crypto payment cannot be reversed by a bank. Check the address, the amount and the network before you send.

Buying a domain without a credit card: FAQ

My card was declined buying a domain. Can I pay with crypto?

Yes. At BuyDomainsCrypto you pay only in crypto, so your card is never involved. Top up your balance with BTC, USDT, USDC, ETH, SOL, LTC, from $25, then register the domain from it. A .com costs $11.49/year. No ID is needed: only a working email, which is verified after registration as ICANN rules require.

Can I buy a domain here with PayPal or a bank transfer?

No. BuyDomainsCrypto accepts crypto only: Bitcoin (BTC), Tether (USDT), USD Coin (USDC), Ethereum (ETH), Solana (SOL), Litecoin (LTC). Cards, PayPal and bank transfers are not accepted. If your money is in a bank account, buy USDT or USDC on an exchange or a P2P market first. Then withdraw it on the network shown on our payment page.

Which coin is the cheapest to send?

For most buyers, USDT on Tron (TRC-20) costs little to send and keeps the dollar value. Fees change with network load, so check the withdrawal fee your exchange shows before you confirm. Ethereum fees, for ETH, USDT ERC-20 and USDC, rise and fall with gas prices. Bitcoin fees depend on how busy the network is.

Do I need an ID to buy a domain with crypto?

No. No ID, no KYC — only a verified email, kept private. ICANN rules require the registrant email to be verified within 15 days of registration. The exchange where you buy your crypto may ask for ID: that is its own rule, not ours. Extensions with eligibility or ID rules, such as .us, .ca or .eu, are not sold here.

What if I send the wrong amount or use the wrong network?

Send the exact amount shown, on the network shown: that is how the payment is matched to your order. A payment sent on another network does not reach your top-up and may not be recoverable. If something went wrong, write to [email protected] with the order reference, the coin, the network, the exact amount and the time you sent it. We cannot promise a recovery.

How long until my domain works?

The payment is credited after its confirmations: 2 for Bitcoin, 20 for USDT TRC-20, 12 for ERC-20 tokens and ETH, 1 for Solana and 6 for Litecoin. Registration then follows, usually within minutes of the top-up being credited; a few extensions take a few hours. After that, new DNS records can take some time to spread across the internet.

Can I get my crypto back if I change my mind?

No, top-ups are not paid back in crypto. Unused balance stays on your account and never expires, and it pays for new domains, renewals and transfers, but it is not refundable. Failed orders are covered: if a domain cannot be registered (taken in the meantime, registry refusal), the full amount goes back to your balance. You can use that amount for another name. Top up only what you plan to spend on domains. The full rules are on refunds and balance.

Is .com the only extension I can buy without a card?

No. All 55 extensions we sell are paid the same way, from the crypto balance. Examples of first-year prices: .com $11.49/year, .org $8.79/year, .app $8.49/year and .me $17.49/year. Compare the renewal price too, since you pay it every year after the first. All prices are on the pricing page.
